I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
